The Equine Facility:

This facility is listed on HorseMotels.com. Here's what a recent guest had to say: (11/10/07) - "WE highly recommend this stable! It's nestled in a beautiful wooded setting. Landscaped grounds.. auto watering for your horses in the beautiful paddocks as well as in the barn.. A darling bunkhouse that is absolutely spotless and decorated with western decor..The bunkhouse sets inside the barn... where your horses can peek in the windows and nicker at you when they spot you..Such as ours did..The hosts are a wonderful, warm, friendly and very accommodating couple..You will love this stable! Plan your horse travels to include Pamela's Horse Motel..We're sure happy we did!"

Neighborhood Notes:

  • The property boasts 14 acres of woods with groomed riding trails which open up to another 140 acres of shared riding trails
  • Down the road is the Fox Run Farm which has horse shows and trail rides (they have 40 horses of their own and they are trainers).
  • Around the block is a 70 yr old woman who has a antique & gift shop at her farm called Big Trunk Tree House.
  • One mile east of my farm is the Beckman Mill.  It's a historical dam & mill.  They give tours and have special events including old fashioned ice cream socials, etc.  You can ride your horse to the Beckman Mill, have a picnic, fish or just take a break and watch the dam.
  • The property is just 20 miles from Monroe, Wi. the "Cheese Capital of the World" (home of Swiss Colony Cheese).
  • Beloit, Wi. is a mere 10 miles west (home of Beloit College and the Rock River which is great for water sports) and one block from the WI/IL stateline.
  • Both Beloit & Monroe have great shopping and friendly people!  One of my neighbors is a pilot for United Airlines and travels to Chicago each day for work.  We are close to everything but far enough away to feel the peace of the country.
